This time I would like to share a cake recipe that’s full of chocolate. If you and your family love to eat chocolate at home then this might the right recipe.

Deviles Food Cake

Ingridients:

  • 10 egg yolks
  • 4 egg whites
  • 200 grams of butter/margarine (7 ounces)
  • 200 grams of sugar (7 ounces)
  • 100 grams medium protein flour (3.5 ounces)
  • 50 grams of corn starch (1.8 ounces)
  • 2 tablespoon of milk powder
  • 40-50 grams of chocolate powder (1.4 – 1.8 ounces)
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder

Ornaments:

  • 150 grams of dark cooking chocolate (5.3 ounces)
  • 200 ml of whip cream, shaked
  • 100 ml of syrup

Directions:

  1. Sieve the flour, corn starch, milk powder, chocolate powder and baking powder until even. Set aside.
  2. Mix the butter/margarine and sugar until it’s white and soft. Add the egg yolk one-by-one while mixing until it’s even and soft. Then add in the mix flour little-by-little and keep mixing it until it’s even. set aside.
  3. Mix the egg shites until it’s stiff then put it into the egg yolk mix. Stir evenly.
  4. Pour the dough in a cake 26 cm cake pan (about 10 inches) coated with margarine or butter with baking paper at the bottom. Oven it at 170 C (338 F). Then take it and put it outside the pan and cooled.
  5. Melt the dark cooking chocolate. Then pour it in the whipped cream. Stir it evenly. Let it coagulate. Split the cake into 2 pieces horizontally, spread one part with simple syrup and the whipped cream. Close this side with the other part of the cake. Cover the entire cake surface with the whipped cream as you like.
  6. Decorate to your liking
  7. Serve.
