Scone is a kind of bread originated from Europe. The bread had been a favourite for European as their morning breakfast. If you’re tired with pancakes and eggs and bacon for your breakfast then add some european taste with this scone recipe. Have a try..

Serving, 12 pcs

Ingridients:

  • 275 grams of medium protein flour (9.8 ounces)
  • 50 grams of sugar (1.8 ounces)
  • 2 teaspoon of baking powder
  • salt
  • 75 grams of unsalted butter (2.6 ounces)
  • 1 whisked egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla powder
  • 120 ml of milk

Coating:

  • 1 egg yolk

Directions:

  1. Mix the eggs, sugar, and milk together with a whisk, stir it. Set aside
  2. Mix the flour, baking powder, vanilla powder and salt. Sieve them on top of the mixing bowl until even.
  3. Add in the butter and stir it with two knives/ wooden spoon until it became small bubbles. Add in the milk in the dough while stiring it (don’t stir too much),  set it aside for 5 minutes.
  4. Form a circle with a mold about 5-7 cm(2-2.8 inches) in diameter on a baking pan, set it aside for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Coat the top with the egg yolk until even. Bake the dough in a 200 degrees C (392 degrees F) for about 15 minutes or so. Take it away and let it cools until the steams are gone.
  6. Serve.
